Selfridges Centenary

If you don't know by now, this year is Selfridges 100th Birthday and what a shiny, happy, yellow birthday it has and will continue to be.

Harry Gordon Selfridge, American retail magnet and flamboyant showman opened (the six acres of shopping heaven) Selfridges on March 15th 1909 and set new standards for retail - shopping became pleasure, not just necessity.

This man is up there with Coco for me!

So far this year Selfridges has hosted many events, shows, special guests, limited editions and amazing window displays which pay homage to Harry Gordon Selfridge.

The celebrations continue with style and why not, it's not every day you turn 100.
